About Us

MOXZ GmbH is a Berlin-based deep-tech startup pioneering a revolutionary modulation/multiplexing protocol for wireless technologies of the future, including 6G. Our innovative approach to the physical layer protocol of wireless signaling allows for blind communications over unknown channels with a finite impulse response, eliminating the need for prior knowledge of the wireless channel. This feature also enables the receiver and transmitter to sense the wireless channel, providing radar and tracking data.

We welcome you into a dynamic startup environment where you can make meaningful contributions to the advancement of next-generation wireless technologies.

Software Engineer (m/f/d) (Fulltime, 40h/week)

What We Are Looking For

We're seeking a C++ Developer with computer science background who is eager to work on software that powers real-time radar and communications systems. You will be a key contributor in the design and implementation of high-performance software modules, working alongside senior engineers and researchers to build robust and efficient systems for integrated communication and sensing (ISAC).

We welcome you into a dynamic startup environment where you can make meaningful contributions to the advancement of next-generation wireless technology. The role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of software fundamentals and an interest in applying those skills to real-world, physics-intense domains.

  • 0-3 years of professional experience in software development. Please only apply if you are currently based in or are going to be located in Berlin, Germany.
  • Strong foundation in C++ (preferably C++20).
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, resource management).
  • Familiarity with multi-threading, concurrency, or real-time systems.
  • Interest or experience in wireless communication and software defined radios (SDR), in writing high performance code, and creating maintainable software.
  • Self-driven, willingness to learn quickly and take initiative in a fast-paced startup environment with a getting-things-done-mentality.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Fluent in English or German.

Bonus Skills

  • Exposure to wireless communication systems or software-defined radios (SDR).
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Familiarity with scientific computing, real-time processing, or numerical algorithms.
  • Experience with Linux systems and low-level debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with Git, CMake, and continuous integration tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or scripting for testing purposes.

Your Task

  • Develop and maintain C++ code for high performance communication and sensing software modules.
  • Implement physical layer algorithms related to signal processing, localization, and data encoding / decoding.
  • Optimize for performance, numerical stability, and the efficient usage of computational resources across hardware platforms.
  • Develop software for embedded systems with tight performance and memory constraints.
  • Be open to exploring new technologies or contributing to other parts of the stack (e.g. implementing a browser-based interface) when needed.
  • Write clean well-documented, and testable code in accordance with software development best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions and technical discussions.
  • Contribute to rapid prototyping and experimentation on early state R&D projects.

Your Benefits

  • A flexible and engaging working environment with a "fail fast, learn fast" mentality.
  • A rare opportunity to work on frontier technology in a collaborative R&D-focused environment.
  • Close mentorship from seasoned engineers and domain experts.
  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid/remote-friendly culture.
  • Access to cutting-edge labs, tools, and learning resources.

If you're excited to shape the future of wireless communications and build things that have never been built before, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and join us in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
